DISH Tailgater VQ4400 / VQ4410 — PN22390 Rev A

Use the exact receiver message to distinguish acquisition, local-channel geography, guide presentation and subscription authorization before blaming the portable antenna.

Confirm your model

This page follows KING-authored PN22390 Rev A for DISH Tailgater VQ4400 and VQ4410, the actual model names on the DISH-hosted file labelled Tailgater3. It is not Tailgater4, Tailgater Pro or VQ4500 documentation. Match antenna and receiver labels. The historical receiver list and satellite examples are not current compatibility, programming or service-eligibility guarantees.

How it connects

The specified RG6 coax runs from antenna MAIN to SATELLITE IN on the receiver. The receiver is powered from AC and sends the television picture through its own HDMI or other supported TV output. These are separate RF/power and TV-picture stages. Read existing port labels; this observation guide does not require unplugging live coax or changing the installed wiring.

Lights and messages

  • The setup guide’s green power light belongs to the receiver, not a new satellite-lock lamp on the dome. Acquisition errors, guide errors and account messages appear on the receiver’s TV screen. Record the complete title and number; do not diagnose from a number copied from another Tailgater generation.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • VQ4410 is specifically noted as including the receiver and cables; do not infer that package for VQ4400. The manual documents TR1000 tripod, CB1000 bag and model-specific mounting options, and explicitly excludes MB100. Window/hanger mounting is stationary only. Those historic options do not prove present stock or approval for another KING model.

These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
