EXPLORER 700 · 98-122988-H

The original EXPLORER 700 separates local interfaces, BGAN registration and active calls or data sessions. Its Dashboard and alarm records can show which stage needs support without starting paid traffic. A visible local page, enabled-interface icon or GPS message alone does not establish a working internet session.

Confirm your model

EXPLORER 700 under original manual 98-122988-H, 17 March 2011. Check the transceiver label: 403732A-WOW has no WLAN interface. Do not transfer EXPLORER 710, 510 or later firmware procedures. This archived manual identifies historical functions, not present airtime eligibility, coverage or operating-system support.

How it connects

The unit combines a transceiver, display/keypad and detachable antenna. The original supports an attached or separated antenna arrangement; preserve the installed antenna lead and position. A local computer uses the built-in web interface through its existing LAN or available WLAN connection. USB is a separate interface whose original instructions require a driver. Interface availability, local management access and satellite service are distinct; do not detach the antenna or change a connection to test them.

Lights and messages

  • Dashboard Properties includes provider, GPS information, Status, unit serial, software and local IP. Its status corresponds largely, but not completely, to the display, so record the exact source of each observation. Enabled-interface icons mean the interface is on. The red message indicator can mean an SMS or alarm; rapid flashing instead identifies an antenna software upload, during which the antenna must remain attached.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • The original delivery list names a LAN cable, USB cable, AC/DC adapter, a 41.5 cm antenna cable and a 10 m antenna cable. These are documented original items, not evidence that an arbitrary extension, modern driver or other EXPLORER antenna is compatible. Match the installed variant and accessory documentation through qualified support; no new cable or adapter is needed for read-only observations on an existing connection.

These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
