This is the Cignal-branded Arion ARS-N210S standard-definition satellite receiver, not the GIEC HD model. Match the front and rear labels to the original Cignal-hosted folded manual. We identified no printed date or revision; the file metadata is not treated as a hardware revision. Historical menus do not establish current channel availability or account eligibility.
How it connects
Dish coax enters IF IN. The yellow RCA VIDEO output feeds the TV’s composite video input; separate white/red L/R RCA connections carry sound. The documented rear panel has USB for software updates and a smart-card slot when applicable. Do not substitute the GIEC HD model’s HDMI instructions or infer that USB is a video or recording output.
Lights and messages
- STANDBY is red in standby and goes out in operation. SIGNAL is green when the channel has been found and is tuning properly. IR is yellow for remote operation. These are three different observations: a dark standby lamp is not by itself a dead receiver, and remote response is not satellite-lock evidence.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Match the separate composite-video and stereo-audio leads to the TV’s labelled inputs. The manual permits only manufacturer-recommended attachments and the power source marked on the unit. A matching-looking plug is not evidence that another receiver’s adaptor is suitable. No recording accessory or current USB update package is verified here.
