PotsDOCK Extreme · EXTRMPD · Rev07

Iridium Extreme dock with a local RJ11 analogue-phone interface, Bluetooth audio and an optional privacy handset. A registered dock can still have an unavailable local phone endpoint or muted outgoing speech; those are different diagnostic stages.

PotsDOCK Extreme EXTRMPD, original USRMAN007307 Revision 07, August 2018, with the Iridium Extreme handset. Not PotsDOCK 9555 or DriveDOCK Extreme. This edition does not establish current PTT, driver, airtime or replacement compatibility.

How it connects

The installed external Iridium antenna connects to the dock and the docked handset uses that path. RJ11 serves a local analogue phone; the optional privacy handset uses the dock’s four-pole 3.5 mm audio socket. Bluetooth is another local audio endpoint. The bottom mini-USB path is for provisioned handset data and dock configuration through separate computer ports, not the RJ11 telephone line.

Lights and messages

  • Read the named STATUS lamp: steady green means registered and ready, slow green means a voice call is in progress. Red has several causes, including no signal, no registration or no SIM; firmware mode additionally lights the other LEDs red. A Bluetooth lamp or red Mute lamp is a different observation and cannot replace this network-state reading.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • The original package includes the cradle, AC/DC adapter and RAM mount. RST755 privacy handset is optional, as are the listed external antenna and cable kits. The manual’s USB instructions name historical Windows versions; two computer ports have different data and configuration roles. These listings do not prove modern driver or arbitrary accessory compatibility.

These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
