Confirm your model

Read the dock label and handset name before choosing instructions. This is IsatDock MARINE with IsatPhone Pro, documented by USRMAN006205 revision04, April2013. Keep the dock/handset software details and installed antenna/cable identifiers; similar-looking second-generation docks are outside this page.

Simplified signal path, not an installation or rewiring diagram. Follow the linked manual for power connections, grounding and your exact hardware revision.

The dock holds the IsatPhone Pro and links it to the installed external antenna. Voice can use the integrated speakerphone, privacy handset or RJ11/POTS telephone. The RJ11 path is a telephone service, not Ethernet. Lifting the privacy handset changes audio routing; removing the satellite phone during a call drops that call.

Lights and messages

  • STATUS steady green means the handset is registered and able to make a call; flashing green means a call is in progress. Steady red means not registered/no signal. Alternating red/blue instead indicates an error communicating with the IsatPhone Pro, which is a different fault branch.
  • MUTE red means outgoing audio is muted. MUTE flashing yellow means the RJ11/POTS phone is in use, not a satellite failure. SPEAKER green means speakerphone mode. Record the indicator name and pattern as well as its color.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • The original package includes a privacy handset; the manual also documents standard RJ11/POTS telephone integration. Confirm the installed endpoint and approved BEAM antenna/cable combination before buying replacements. Connector shape is not proof of compatibility with IsatDock2 accessories; power, antenna and vessel wiring belong to a qualified installer.
