Original BEAM IsatDock DRIVE for IsatPhone Pro, USRMAN006005 Rev05, April 2017. Not IsatDock2 DRIVE, IsatDock LITE or a standalone transceiver. Historical hardware instructions do not establish current airtime, phone firmware or computer support.
How it connects
The cradle joins the IsatPhone Pro to external satellite and GPS paths, plus separate speaker and microphone connections for handsfree audio. Its original overview labels satellite TNC-female and GPS SMA-female; the optional privacy handset uses RJ9, while Micro USB serves the computer path. The manual describes phone Bluetooth as another audio path, not a new radio inside the dock.
Lights and messages
- STATUS steady green means the phone is registered and able to call; steady red means unregistered/no signal. Flashing green means a call in progress; alternating red/blue means dock-to-phone communication error. The separately named MUTE lamp concerns outgoing audio. TRACK has its own configured tracking/alert functions and is not a substitute registration indicator.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Unlike the original LITE package, this manual lists an external speaker and microphone with the DRIVE dock, DC lead, RAM bracket, mounting hardware, fuse kit and keys. ISD955 privacy handset and ISD951 AC supply remain optional. Listed ISD715/ISD720 active transport antennas require corresponding approved cable kits; do not transfer a passive-antenna or IsatDock2 recommendation.
