Confirm your model
Confirm SATMATIC-HD2 on the label and whether the antenna is automatic or manual. Do not install SATMATIC-HD firmware marked “HD2 not concerned.” A valid card and security compatibility do not make this a UHD decoder.
How it connects
- Installed satellite antenna Antenna coax → PARABOLE IN
- SATMATIC-HD2 and matching access card Receiver HDMI → television HDMI
- TV on the connected HDMI input
The receiver is a low-voltage device; never connect its DC input directly to mains. Vehicle supply, motor and ignition-safety wiring require the exact antenna/receiver manuals and a qualified installer. The HDMI path shown here does not describe motor wiring.
Lights and messages
- Red ON/St.by means eco-standby; green means on in the HD2 manual.
- Signal level and quality are separate. High level with zero quality does not confirm the correct satellite.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Use the matching approved power arrangement, remote and optional external IR sensor. Antenna control varies by version. Keep motor/ignition connectors and the television power output out of trial-and-error wiring. Confirm UHD migration before buying a replacement card or used receiver.
