Applies to: TechniSat TechniBox S1 · Original German TechniBox S1 user manual; production-layout stamp 3 January 2012, not a hardware revision
Work through these checks
01 · TechniSat TechniBox S1
Match the model, product code and manual edition on this page. Photograph existing connections without changing them. First separate TV input and standby problems from missing satellite reception. Preserve the channel list and antenna settings; do not factory-reset, flash software, rescan or rewire as a first check.
02 · TechniBox S1 / Systemkonfiguration / CI / CI+ / Senderwechsel / Wecktimer / Netzwerkstatus
Match TechniBox S1, not TechniStar S1/S2, and the original German manual with its January 2012 layout stamp. Read Systemkonfiguration for installed software and receiver details; keep MAC and serial information private. The CI / CI+ module information is separate from RF reception: do not use CI Reset as a first signal test or assume a card works without the provider's entitlement. In the existing authorized web interface, Netzwerkstatus reports network settings. The documented web timer types Senderwechsel and Wecktimer switch channels or wake the receiver; they do not establish recording capability on your installed software. Preserve channel lists and USB files; do not format an unrecognized drive, factory-reset, rescan, change DHCP roles, open remote access or move LNB wiring as the first check.
When to stop and get help
Do not continue these checks in unsafe conditions. For immediate danger, use local emergency services and the device’s emergency instructions. Otherwise, contact your provider or a qualified technician.
What to tell support
