Applies to: SAILOR 6120 / 6130 / 6140 / 6150 · 6018 interface · User manual 98-154542-A, 21 September 2017; 6018 interface, not 6006 or 6110 GMDSS
Work through these checks
01 · SAILOR 6120 / 6130 / 6140 / 6150 · 6018 interface
Match the exact model, product code and manual edition. Record the existing connections, status indicators and displayed error without changing them. Preserve settings and stored data; do not reset, flash software, format storage or alter wiring as a first check. Keep account details, device identifiers and precise location private.
02 · 6120 / 6130 / 6140 / 6150 / 3027 / 6018 / 6006 / 6110 / 6194 / easyMail / PC connection / Antenna signal / GPS / Mobile status / View > Transceiver status / View > GPS status / View > Info log / Help > System info / Distress / SSA
Confirm the exact role: SAILOR 6120 SSA, 6130 LRIT, 6140 Maritime or 6150 Non-SOLAS, each with its own 3027 variant. Manual 98-154542-A of 21 September 2017 describes the 6018 interface, not 6006; 6110 GMDSS has separate instructions. In already installed easyMail, read PC connection, Antenna signal and GPS separately, then the existing Mobile status ocean region. Use View > Transceiver status, View > GPS status, View > Info log and Help > System info to record existing state, not change it. Local connectivity or GPS is not proof that an LRIT report reached its shore-side service. Record the original warning and time; keep IMN, serials and position private. Do not reset, log in/out, scan, switch terminals, reconfigure 6194/CAN or wiring, send messages or reports, change reporting schedules or press Distress/SSA controls for diagnosis. Have the responsible operator or service provider assess reporting and alert-system faults. This historical manual does not prove current certification or service availability.
When to stop and get help
