Megasat Shipman / Shipman GPS/Auto-Skew · Exact manual and safe first checks

Megasat Shipman / Shipman GPS/Auto-Skew · Version 3.7 · 2023-01

Applies to: Megasat Shipman / Shipman GPS/Auto-Skew · Version 3.7 · 2023-01

Work through these checks

  1. 01 · Shipman / Shipman GPS/Auto-Skew (1500051 / 1500055)

Match the model, product code and manual edition on this page. Photograph existing connections without changing them. First separate TV input and standby problems from missing satellite reception. Preserve the channel list and antenna settings; do not factory-reset, flash software, rescan or rewire as a first check.

  2. 02 · PWR / SEARCH / LOCK / ERR / Tracking / SLEEP

Record PWR green, SEARCH flashing yellow, LOCK steady yellow and ERR red separately, together with the selected satellite and exact Antenna (FAIL), Tuner (FAIL) or Button (FAIL) message. Tuner and Button failures require dealer inspection. The tracking/SLEEP control disables automatic antenna tracking; do not toggle it to test a fault. Keep clear of movement. Do not open the dome, adjust skew, rewire, reset or install firmware to reproduce the problem.

When to stop and get help

Do not continue these checks in unsafe conditions. For immediate danger, use local emergency services and the device’s emergency instructions. Otherwise, contact your provider or a qualified technician.

What to tell support

Write down your exact model, service provider and on-screen message. Photograph the existing connections for your own reference before changing anything. Megasat Shipman / Shipman GPS/Auto-Skew · Version 3.7 · 2023-01
