Applies to: GO! exec with Premium Dual Mode kit GEINSTKT2201; original installation guide V1.3, GEIG2303, June 2023. Not the LITE Single Mode kit, original Iridium GO! or an arbitrary aftermarket antenna. This is an installed-system observation guide, not a replacement for professional installation or current firmware instructions.
Work through these checks
Identify Premium rather than LITE
Match GEINSTKT2201 and the installed cable inventory. The OEM announcement distinguishes a combined Iridium/GNSS Premium antenna from the LITE kit’s dedicated Iridium antenna. Do not assume a LITE installation supplies the Premium kit’s external location path.
Record both signal paths
V1.3 lists a 5 m satellite cable and separate 5.25 m GNSS cable, plus a 15 cm satellite adapter. Record whether the symptom concerns network reception, position or both. Observe existing labels and visible damage; do not swap connectors to experiment.
Understand antenna-lift power behavior
With the external antenna connected and antenna-lift power control enabled, lowering the internal antenna does not switch the device off. Use the documented power controls when needed. Record this setting and external-antenna state before reporting a faulty hinge or unexpected power behavior.
Preserve installation evidence
From a safe viewpoint, record obstructions, cable strain and exposed unused ports. The kit guide requires outdoor sky visibility and protection against moisture and cable damage. Keep photos and the exact kit revision for the installer; this inspection does not certify the installation.
When to stop and get help
Inspect only safely reachable, existing equipment. Do not climb, disconnect live cables, alter mounts, substitute cables or test SOS. Follow the complete installation and device manuals. Damaged adapters, wet ports or loose mounts need qualified help.
