Work through these checks
01 · Dish TV S8100-ZC · V1.3 original
Match the exact model, product code and manual edition. Record the existing connections, status indicators and displayed error without changing them. Preserve settings and stored data; do not reset, flash software, format storage or alter wiring as a first check. Keep account details, device identifiers and precise location private.
02 · PVR > Booked List / Media Information / FORMAT
Match S8100-ZC to V1.3, August 2017. This is a single-tuner receiver: during recording, other available channels are limited to the same frequency as the recorded channel. Record the channel and active booking in PVR > Booked List before blaming the dish. Media Information shows existing storage use; FORMAT erases recordings. Do not format, delete channels, rescan, reset or flash software to solve this restriction. Freeview completed its satellite transition on 15 April 2025. Old satellite names and connected-service claims in these manuals are historical, not current tuning instructions. Check the linked current Freeview advice before any retuning; do not physically repoint a dish from an old menu name. Ask a qualified installer about dish or shared-cable faults.
