Icom · Satellite communications and messaging

Equipment focus in this directory: Icom is an Osaka-based communications-equipment manufacturer. Its official company outline separates founding in April 1954 from incorporation in July 1964, and reports 1063 group employees as of March 31, 2026. Employees are not subscribers or satellite-radio users. IC-SAT100 handheld radios, IC-SAT100M mobile equipment and RS-SAT100 software need their own setup instructions; the manufacturer’s size does not establish a particular fleet’s provisioning, talkgroups or permitted areas.

Find the right support path

Service and equipment scope: Satellite phone and service support

For a routine fault, distinguish power, network registration and an app or docking problem. Use the exact handset guide for antenna deployment and the airtime provider for account provisioning. Calls and tests can incur charges. Do not press SOS or place an emergency call as a test, change emergency contacts, or try an accessory merely because its connector fits.

Before contacting support, record the exact model, hardware revision, displayed error and when the fault began. Keep passwords, subscriber numbers, terminal identifiers and precise location private. Share them only through the provider’s secure support channel.
