How it connects
SEAGULL 5000i Rev 1.1 uses Thuraya, not Inmarsat FleetBroadband. A blinking-green POWER heartbeat means a successful boot; do not apply the SAFARI steady-green rule. GPS blinking red means no GPS antenna detected, blinking green acquisition, and steady green a fix. SAT steady orange is registration in progress; steady green is registered. GmPRS off can be phone mode, phone/SMS tracking, or configured packet service waiting to connect, not necessarily a fault. Record all four lights and selected mode together. Tracking coordinates are private and do not prove internet access. Preserve existing tracking and alert settings; no paid test call/data, distress test, reset, firmware swap or live connector work. The historical manual does not confirm current airtime or emergency-service eligibility.
