How it connects
SG-2520 V1.6 is a SAT/GSM phone, not SO-2510 or XT-DUAL. Under Network, record the existing System preference: SAT only, SAT preferred, GSM only or GSM preferred, and the network actually shown. A preferred mode can fall back to the other network; a working GSM connection does not prove satellite registration. The original requires SAT mode for SAT registration and describes a blinking SAT icon or incorrect service area as possible stale registration evidence. Preserve that display and the original location/time rather than forcing registration or making a test call. A navigation fix is separate from network registration. This historical guide does not establish today’s GSM or satellite eligibility. Keep SIM/security codes private; do not guess PIN/PUK, reset the phone or use another model’s firmware.
