How it connects
This page covers IP Commander Operating Instructions Version 4.0, document 920-00275 dated 29 October 2015, not the newer Rev 3 manual. Read Current Device Mode first: Voice and Thuraya IP use different registration indicators. IP Registered does not mean IP Active; an active PDP context starts a connection that can incur charges. Signal bars alone do not prove registration. On the handset, profile suffix + means active, - inactive and * streaming: record the displayed profile without copying the example UAE profiles or entering activation codes. In General > Status, distinguish Network Status from Signal Status and SpaceCom antenna status. RSSI is received power, SQI signal quality and LQI link reserve; none alone proves internet access. Record exact states and times for support. Preserve profiles and antenna settings; no billable test, firmware, reset or transmission changes. Historical documentation does not establish current service availability.
