How it connects
Separate the TV input, satellite reception and VAST card rights. A clock on the receiver display can mean standby, not failed power. Record the complete E50-32/E48-32 reception message separately from E-04/E-05/E06 card messages. Main Menu > Settings > Information contains Smart Card Status, Softcell Service Status and Loader Status; keep card numbers private. The original describes receiving information channel 800 before card activation; confirm today’s activation requirements with VAST. The restart button and Factory Default are different: Factory Default erases settings and channels. Do not reset or install firmware merely to collect these observations, and do not interrupt an update already running. DVBS2-980CA has twin tuners; recording conflicts and available viewing channels depend on the two transponders in use. For internet, Settings > Network Setup reports Cable, Network and Internet separately. The manual names Ethernet or the optional SatKing WL-85 USB Wi-Fi adapter, not arbitrary third-party dongles. Internet Connected does not establish satellite lock or card rights. Use the 980CA manual’s LNB cabling diagram; do not copy the 800CA connection layout.
