How it connects

This shared family entry covers RANGER Neo 2, 3 and 4 in manual F11, July 2026, for firmware 31.16. Screenshots are from Neo 3; starred options and a GPS receiver must not be assumed on Neo 2. On an already documented test point, record the selected RF source, satellite band, installation/channel plan, frequency and measurement units before comparing results. A spectrum peak or power reading is not the same as DVB-S/S2 lock, MER or C/N; a TV service can also be scrambled despite RF lock. LNB Drain reports actual voltage/current and DRAIN LNB lights when current flows, not merely when a supply option is selected. SHORTCIRCUIT is a protection warning: stop and refer the affected feed to a qualified installer; do not defeat protection or increase supply voltage. Preserve DiSEqC, SCD/EN50494 and SCD2/EN50607 allocations on shared systems. Review existing monitoring records and their time/remaining storage instead of changing calibration, firmware or a live communal feed.
