Confirm your model
Nordnet identifies the K1/K2 satellite modem as Hughes WE3100. Confirm the kit type in your customer account; K1 pointing documents must not be applied blindly to T-series or L1 kits.
How it connects
- Installed dish Satellite coax
- Hughes WE3100 Ethernet
- NordnetBox / router
The installed feed reaches the WE3100 modem, then an Ethernet link reaches the NordnetBox or router. Test modem POWER and RX/TX separately from Wi-Fi and account activation.
Lights and messages
- Record the POWER and RX/TX lights plus the exact activation or connection message.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Use the supplied power adapter and Nordnet’s current kit list. Dish alignment and exposed outdoor cable work need qualified help; do not purchase a generic modem.
These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
