KVH TracVision TV3

If one onboard receiver works but another lacks channels, compare the same subscribed channel on both. Read TV-Hub’s selected satellite and switching mode before changing cables or the dish. A shared antenna follows a selected satellite; receivers and channel subscriptions still need compatible configuration.

Confirm your model

Confirm TracVision TV3 on the antenna and TV-Hub. The linked revision C guide covers a TV-Hub system; other TV3 revisions and RV1 may differ.

How it connects

  1. TV3 antenna RF1 antenna feed
  2. TV-Hub Configured TV feed
  3. Satellite receiver
Simplified signal path, not an installation or rewiring diagram. Follow the linked manual for power connections, grounding and your exact hardware revision.

The TV3 antenna feeds the TV-Hub; the configured receiver supplies television service. TV-Hub tracking and TV-channel availability are separate observations. Do not disconnect powered RF1.

Lights and messages

  • Normal operation has three solid green TV-Hub lights. The Home page displays Searching, Tracking, Idle or Error and any numbered fault. Alternating orange lights mean an update is in progress.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • Check TV3/TV-Hub serial and installed provider configuration before buying receiver, LNB, cable or a replacement hub. Many red-light and motor faults require certified KVH service.

These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.

Model-specific parts: start with the official source

Confirm the exact model and part number with the manufacturer or provider before buying any replacement part or accessory.
