For the original 9505, printed page 151 describes Network Selection > Register Now with the antenna extended and a clear outdoor sky view. Registered confirms registration; signal bars alone do not. Wait three minutes between registration attempts. Record Check Signal separately from Invalid Account, which the manual directs to the service provider. Insert Card and Check Card concern the SIM.
