Match GFSAT200HD/A on the receiver. This guide uses the original Goodmans instruction manual whose page footers identify IB Rev2, 12 July 2010. It does not apply to other Goodmans receivers. Old channel counts, BBC iPlayer references and support numbers are historical, not current availability promises.
How it connects
The dish coax reaches LNB IN. HDMI carries the receiver picture to an HD television; TV/VCR SCART are separate standard-definition outputs, and SPDIF is a separate audio output. Ethernet is the historical internet-service connection, not the satellite input. USB is labelled for factory/software upgrades, not documented here as a recording drive interface.
Lights and messages
- System Information separates manufacturer/model, hardware/software and serial identity from Network ID, Transport ID, Lock Indicator, signal strength and signal quality. A visible menu is evidence that the TV path works; those fields provide the separate reception evidence.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- The documented package includes its mains adaptor, HDMI cable, remote and quick-start guide. A dish/LNB connection is required; an ordinary terrestrial roof aerial is not a substitute. SCART cannot provide HD pictures. Match any replacement adaptor to the exact unit and original rating rather than treating a similar plug as compatibility.
These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
