Tailgater 4 · DT4400 / DT4450

KING-manufactured portable DISH antenna. DT4450 is the package including a Wally receiver and cables; identify the antenna and receiver separately.

Confirm your model

Confirm DT4400 or DT4450 and the attached receiver label. The linked manual illustrates Wally; ViP receivers need their own operating instructions. This is not the Tailgater Pro manual.

How it connects

  1. Portable antenna · MAIN Supplied RG-6 coax
  2. DISH receiver · SATELLITE IN Match the TV input
  3. TV input
Simplified signal path, not an installation or rewiring diagram. Follow the linked manual for power connections, grounding and your exact hardware revision.

With receiver power disconnected, use MAIN to SATELLITE IN and hand-tighten coax. A stable, reasonably level ground location needs a clear southern sky. Keep cables away from traffic and trip hazards. Roof-mounted installations need a technician.

Lights and messages

  • Keep the antenna stationary throughout the scan. Moving it during or after scanning requires another scan. A new receiver also needs account activation; a scan alone does not activate service.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • Use the supplied cable and confirm receiver compatibility before buying replacements. Do not assume fittings or firmware for another KING antenna apply.

These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.

Model-specific parts: start with the official source

Confirm the exact model and part number with the manufacturer or provider before buying any replacement part or accessory.
