Hopper Plus is a small Android TV companion connected to a compatible Hopper by the supplied USB-C cable. DISH lists no recording storage or tuners in Hopper Plus itself. A Joey 4 extends the experience to other TVs.
How it connects
- Installed satellite dish Satellite feed into Hopper
- Hopper DVR + Hopper Plus Supplied USB-C link; home internet for apps
- TV / internet apps
Test live satellite TV on the main Hopper separately from Android apps. DISH says the supplied USB-C cable between Hopper and Hopper Plus must not be replaced by a longer one. A missing app is not evidence that the dish has moved.
Lights and messages
- If Hopper live TV works but all apps fail, check home internet and Hopper Plus before touching the satellite path.
- If Hopper itself shows signal loss, use DISH signal troubleshooting. If a Joey alone loses Hopper, use the separate room-link path.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Use DISH-specified power and the supplied USB-C connector. The important product information warns against opening the enclosure, liquid exposure and moving equipment immediately while powered.
