Bell 9241 HD PVR Plus only. This record uses original Bell chapters with October–November 2008 print footers, not a newly issued hardware revision. It does not transfer 9200 Dual Mode, 9400, 9500 or Fibe features. Historical recording behavior does not confirm current activation, channels, guide metadata or external-storage approval.
How it connects
The original installation uses two satellite coaxial feeds into Satellite In 1 and 2. Television output is a separate path: HDMI carries digital audio/video, while component video needs its matching audio connection. The rear-panel Ethernet port is labelled for future use in this edition. The Remote Antenna connector belongs to UHF remote control, not the satellite dish.
Lights and messages
- The manual distinguishes My Recordings, which lists stored programmes, from Daily Schedule and Timers List. A red dot beside an entry denotes a recording in progress. Auto changes channel for viewing and Reminder displays a notice; neither is the PVR timer type that records a file. A visible reservation is therefore not a recording-completion indicator.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Chapter 2 identifies a UHF Pro remote antenna as a separate control accessory. Chapter 12 documents HDMI, component with separate audio, and other analogue TV connections as alternatives, not a claim that every cable is supplied. Match the actual receiver and television endpoints; a USB socket labelled for multimedia does not by itself approve a replacement external drive or a newer receiver’s storage procedure.
