Match the receiver label and remote to the Model-3 manual, not the separately listed AKASH HD STB manual. Save hardware and software versions from AKASH Settings → STB Information. The PDF does not establish one universal hardware part number or power-adapter rating; do not infer those from the marketing family name.
How it connects
- Satellite feed RF cable
- LNB IN · Model-3 Existing video cable
- HDMI / matching AV input
The manual shows LNB IN for the satellite feed and either HDMI or AV OUT to the corresponding TV input. Keep existing working wiring; disconnect receiver power before handling cables. A TV input message is different from an AKASH receiver signal error. Use a technician for dish alignment, roof access or damaged external cabling.
Lights and messages
- A three-hour inactivity prompt can be normal active standby. The Model-3 manual says to press a key other than OK at that prompt; it distinguishes this from adjustable Auto Standby.
- Unexpected shutdown without a prompt, especially while actively using the remote, needs separate power/ventilation checks. Do not label every black screen as standby.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Use the original approved adapter and keep more than 10 cm ventilation space as the manual specifies. Replacement ratings and remote compatibility must be confirmed for the receiver label. The 2022 USB UI-update page is not a Model-3 firmware authorization.
