• HDMI cable

Match the actual ports and supported format on both devices. An adapter does not automatically convert an incompatible signal.

Useful when: The TV cannot show the receiver menu after you select the correct input. Compare with a known-working cable.

Skip the purchase: A clear receiver menu with a satellite reception error is not an HDMI-cable diagnosis.

Check before buying: Match both connectors, the required length and the video format supported by your receiver and TV.

• Indoor Ethernet patch cable

See the source section — PDF page 3 · Connect Up — software updates ↗

For ordinary Ethernet cabling. Match cable category, conductor type and plug/tool design; not proprietary dish cabling.

Useful when: Your documented setup supports a wired LAN comparison, or a known-good cable confirms an indoor LAN cable fault.

Skip the purchase: A cable will not clear an outage or a dish obstruction. Test near the router first.

Check before buying: Use ordinary RJ45 LAN ports only. Starlink Gen 2 needs its matching Ethernet adapter; Gen 3 Router 3 has LAN ports. This is not a dish, power or weatherproof outdoor cable.
