Work through these checks
01 · TechniSat DIGIT MF4-S · CONAX / CRYPTOWORKS
Match the exact model, product code and manual edition. Record the existing connections, status indicators and displayed error without changing them. Preserve settings and stored data; do not reset, flash software, format storage or alter wiring as a first check. Keep account details, device identifiers and precise location private.
02 · Transponder-Info / Systemkonfiguration / Verschlüsselungssystem / CI Reset / Flash-Reset / RS 232
Match the original DIGIT MF4-S CONAX/CRYPTOWORKS receiver to the June 2005 manual; the archive's MTV unlimited filename is not a separate hardware credit. This is an SD MPEG-2 receiver, not a modern HD/DVB-S2 upgrade through firmware. Use the green Transponder-Info control to read the selected transponder; Menü > Einstellungen > Systemkonfiguration shows the existing software version. Record the affected channel and exact message, comparing with an already working compatible free channel. Verschlüsselungssystem can show card or CA-module information, but detection does not establish current service entitlement. Do not press the red CI Reset, run Flash-Reset, copy settings by RS 232, rescan, move a motorized dish or open equipment. Preserve channel lists and installation settings; get qualified support for wiring faults.
When to stop and get help
Do not continue these checks in unsafe conditions. For immediate danger, use local emergency services and the device’s emergency instructions. Otherwise, contact your provider or a qualified technician.
What to tell support
Write down your exact model, service provider and on-screen message. Photograph the existing connections for your own reference before changing anything.
