Applies to: TechniSat DigiCorder HD S2 Plus · original storage configurations · Original OEM Stand 02/09; 090225 V2; not DigiCorder HD S2 without Plus

Work through these checks

  1. 01 · TechniSat DigiCorder HD S2 Plus · original storage configurations

Match the exact model, product code and manual edition. Record the existing connections, status indicators and displayed error without changing them. Preserve settings and stored data; do not reset, flash software, format storage or alter wiring as a first check. Keep account details, device identifiers and precise location private.

  2. 02 · Navigator / Status / Transponder-Info / Systemkonfiguration / PIP / CI Reset

Identify DigiCorder HD S2 Plus with the original February 2009 V2 manual, not HD S2 without Plus. First record whether one or two antenna feeds are installed: recording and viewing combinations depend on that existing arrangement. For a selected channel, open the Navigator with OK and use yellow Status to read Transponder-Info; record the channel and displayed data without changing tuner settings. Menü > Einstellungen > Systemkonfiguration shows existing device and software information. PIP limits are separate from recording limits: the manual describes HD plus SD or two SD pictures, not two HD pictures. Working playback or LAN is not proof of current RF reception; detected CI or card is not proof of entitlement. Do not use CI Reset, format, delete recordings, rescan, flash, open the unit or alter live feeds.

When to stop and get help

Do not continue these checks in unsafe conditions. For immediate danger, use local emergency services and the device’s emergency instructions. Otherwise, contact your provider or a qualified technician.

What to tell support

Write down your exact model, service provider and on-screen message. Photograph the existing connections for your own reference before changing anything.
