Applies to: TechniSat DigiCorder S2 · original storage configurations · Original German manual, layout stamp 17 December 2013; standard-definition S2, not HD S2
Work through these checks
01 · TechniSat DigiCorder S2 · original storage configurations
Match the exact model, product code and manual edition. Record the existing connections, status indicators and displayed error without changing them. Preserve settings and stored data; do not reset, flash software, format storage or alter wiring as a first check. Keep account details, device identifiers and precise location private.
02 · Systemkonfiguration / LNB-Eingang / Antenneneinstellungen (DVB-S) / Antennensignale / Prüfen / Formatieren
Identify original DigiCorder S2, not DigiCorder HD S2 or a newer HD receiver. The preserved original has a December 2013 layout stamp, not a new hardware revision. Read Systemkonfiguration and distinguish existing LNB-Eingang 1 and 2 paths without changing cables. Under Antenneneinstellungen (DVB-S), read Antennensignale without changing it: one existing feed restricts simultaneous recording and viewing; two sockets do not prove two independent feeds. Record the channel combination and timer when the fault occurs. Read the disk fill level and existing recordings, but do not launch Prüfen or Formatieren as a first fix; Formatieren erases recordings and media. Do not open the receiver, replace its internal disk, reset, rescan, copy settings or flash. Storage capacities belong to one family, not separate equipment credits.
When to stop and get help
Do not continue these checks in unsafe conditions. For immediate danger, use local emergency services and the device’s emergency instructions. Otherwise, contact your provider or a qualified technician.
What to tell support
Write down your exact model, service provider and on-screen message. Photograph the existing connections for your own reference before changing anything.
