Work through these checks
01 · TechniSat DigiCorder HD S2 · original storage configurations
Match the exact model, product code and manual edition. Record the existing connections, status indicators and displayed error without changing them. Preserve settings and stored data; do not reset, flash software, format storage or alter wiring as a first check. Keep account details, device identifiers and precise location private.
02 · Systemkonfiguration / MAC / SFIplus / Antennensignale / LNB / Festplatte verwalten / Festplattenwartung / Formatieren / CI Reset
Identify original DigiCorder HD S2, not HD S2 Plus; use the May 2009-layout original manual. Read Systemkonfiguration for installed software, MAC and last SFIplus update, keeping identifiers private. Read Antennensignale and compare the existing feed count with actual LNB paths without rewiring or changing shared settings. A single feed restricts simultaneous programmes; importantly, this manual explicitly excludes recording two HD programmes at once, even with two feeds. Do not treat that limit as disk failure or apply Plus-model expectations. Under Festplatte verwalten / Festplattenwartung read fill level and recording count only. Record affected channels, HD/SD combination, timers and error. Formatieren deletes the disk: do not run disk tests, format, reset, rescan, flash, open the case, change the disk or use CI Reset as a first fix.
When to stop and get help
Do not continue these checks in unsafe conditions. For immediate danger, use local emergency services and the device’s emergency instructions. Otherwise, contact your provider or a qualified technician.
What to tell support
Write down your exact model, service provider and on-screen message. Photograph the existing connections for your own reference before changing anything.
