Work through these checks
01 · Rover HD COMPACT S2
Match the exact hardware, tuner standard and manual. Keep LNB feed and TV/AV display connections distinct. Preserve saved channel plans and transponders.
02 · COMPACT S2 / UG-HDCOMPACT-S-DE-V2.3 / RJ45 / LNB TYP / SCR USER / SCR CABLE TEST
Match the COMPACT S2 cover and pictured hardware to German manual UG-HDCOMPACT-S-DE-V2.3. RJ45 connector is documented for ROVER internal use, not ordinary user network access. Keep SAT measurements distinct from SPECT spectrum and MPEG service display. Record PLAN, MODULAT, POL/BND, FREQ, TRANSP, units, MER, NsMAR and error readings before changes. SAT FINDER depends on stored transponder frequency, polarity, band, symbol rate and LNB type; no buzzer alone is not a failed-feed diagnosis. Do not change LNB TYP or SCR USER, run SCR CABLE TEST on a shared system, reset or move the dish as a first check.
03 · RF
Read level, quality or error measurements together with lock and the selected transponder. Compare only unchanged units and settings at the same measuring point. Wrong satellite data or an unsupported standard can make a working feed look faulty.
When to stop and get help
Stop for damaged cables, unexpected voltage or short-circuit warnings; ask a qualified installer or meter service. Do not bypass protection, change LNB power, DiSEqC/SCR, motor settings, calibration or firmware, or reset to test.
What to tell support
Save model, manual edition, software, measuring point, satellite/transponder, units and the original screen or error. Keep site identifiers private.
