Work through these checks
SF-230 · ON / 48 VDC / SYNC
Identify SF-130 antenna, SF-230 communication unit and SF-870 ISDN handset. On existing equipment, ON means power, 48 VDC means antenna supply and SYNC indicates satellite synchronization in this historical manual. None alone proves usable airtime. The pictured RJ45 ISDN sockets are not Ethernet ports. Do not move cables, power-cycle or make test calls.
SF-870 · SW version / Version Info
Phone setup > SW version reports handset software; Information > Version Info concerns system components. Record them separately. Read existing Alarms & Msgs, Alarms List or Info Log without Clear Causes or enabling Diagnostics. Reading an alarm can stop its flashing while the symbol remains if the cause persists. Do not reset, update or restart satellite searches.
When to stop and get help
Do not continue these checks in unsafe conditions. For immediate danger, use local emergency services and the device’s emergency instructions. Otherwise, contact your provider or a qualified technician.
What to tell support
Write down your exact model, service provider and on-screen message. Photograph the existing connections for your own reference before changing anything. Furuno FELCOM30 · Fleet F33 · OME-56470-B3 · 2005-06-22 · SF-130 / SF-230 / SF-870
