Applies to: EMP-Centauri P.142-UP / P.143-UP / P.146-UP / P.147-UP · original family · Original OEM English eight-page Instructions for Use; P.142-UP (5/4), P.143-UP (5/8), P.146-UP (5/12), P.147-UP (5/16); not later MS5 revisions
Work through these checks
01 · EMP-Centauri P.142-UP / P.143-UP / P.146-UP / P.147-UP · original family
Match the exact model, product code and manual edition. Record the existing connections, status indicators and displayed error without changing them. Preserve settings and stored data; do not reset, flash software, format storage or alter wiring as a first check. Keep account details, device identifiers and precise location private.
02 · LNC A/B/C/D / Terr. Antenna / OUT / 13/18V / 0/22kHz / Userband
Match the original EMP-Centauri P.142-UP / P.143-UP / P.146-UP / P.147-UP family to its eight-page English manual; output counts 5/4, 5/8, 5/12 and 5/16 remain one curated family. Do not transfer these instructions to later MS5 revisions or SCR products. This conventional multiswitch uses 13/18V and 0/22kHz selection, not Userband allocation. Record existing LNC A/B/C/D, Terr. Antenna and OUT labels and whether one outlet, one reception band or every room fails. Working terrestrial TV does not prove the satellite path. A dark power-supply LED can be protection from an input short, not proof that a replacement supply is needed. Attenuator adjustment needs suitable measuring equipment. Do not turn controls by eye, terminate satellite inputs, reset the installation, open the case or move live coax. Preserve shared wiring and use a qualified installer; do not work during a storm.
