Emitor Satlook Lite · Read a satellite meter without changing the installation

Emitor Satlook Lite · Updated July 11, 2011

Applies to: Emitor Satlook Lite · Updated July 11, 2011

Work through these checks

  1. 01 · Emitor Satlook Lite

Match the exact hardware, tuner standard and manual. Keep LNB feed and TV/AV display connections distinct. Preserve saved channel plans and transponders.

  2. 02 · DVB-S2 / EasyFind / Locked / Identified OK / Wrong Satellite / ONID/TSID / BER

Satlook Lite searches DVB-S; do not assume DVB-S2 support. In EasyFind, Locked means carrier lock, while Identified OK compares ONID/TSID with the saved target. Wrong Satellite reports the actual identifiers. Record both IDs and the target definition. The BER bar is reversed: a higher bar corresponds to a lower numeric BER. Outdated target data can prevent identification even when a carrier locks. A saved TSID of 0 skips TSID matching; if both IDs are 0, the actual IDs are displayed.

  3. 03 · RF

Read level, quality or error measurements together with lock and the selected transponder. Compare only unchanged units and settings at the same measuring point. Wrong satellite data or an unsupported standard can make a working feed look faulty.

When to stop and get help

Stop for damaged cables, unexpected voltage or short-circuit warnings; ask a qualified installer or meter service. Do not bypass protection, change LNB power, DiSEqC/SCR, motor settings, calibration or firmware, or reset to test.

What to tell support

Save model, manual edition, software, measuring point, satellite/transponder, units and the original screen or error. Keep site identifiers private.
