Work through these checks
01 · Emitor Satlook NIT Color USA
Match the exact hardware, tuner standard and manual. Keep LNB feed and TV/AV display connections distinct. Preserve saved channel plans and transponders.
02 · DVB-S/QPSK / DSS / DVB-S2 / Digital measurement / CB/UCB / NIT
Match Satlook NIT Color USA, not the monochrome Digital NIT or later Color HD. The original documents DVB-S/QPSK and DSS; it is not evidence of DVB-S2 or current provider compatibility. In Digital measurement, record all four lock markers, lock time, Freq, AFC, SR, FEC, CB/UCB, SNR and BER. NIT position or name can appear after roughly 5–10 seconds only if transmitted; missing NIT alone does not prove a failed feed. Distinguish analogue picture mode from digital lock. Preserve saved frequencies and feed settings; do not use motor control, reset, firmware changes or dish movement as a test.
03 · RF
Read level, quality or error measurements together with lock and the selected transponder. Compare only unchanged units and settings at the same measuring point. Wrong satellite data or an unsupported standard can make a working feed look faulty.
When to stop and get help
Stop for damaged cables, unexpected voltage or short-circuit warnings; ask a qualified installer or meter service. Do not bypass protection, change LNB power, DiSEqC/SCR, motor settings, calibration or firmware, or reset to test.
What to tell support
Save model, manual edition, software, measuring point, satellite/transponder, units and the original screen or error. Keep site identifiers private.
