Lebanon: connectivity checks and satellite-service limits

Keep a working connection in Lebanon: diagnose power and internet faults, check Starlink eligibility and prepare for interruptions.

By the FixSatellite editorial team · Sources checked . This is an English-language guide. Service conditions and official instructions can change.

Identify which connection has failed

Start with your existing fixed internet or mobile service. Keep any working connection available while you assess the problem. Note whether one device, every device on the same Wi-Fi network, or several independent services are affected. A phone showing Wi-Fi is connected to a local router; it does not establish that the router has internet.

For a fixed connection, record the modem or fibre terminal model and the labels beside changed lights. Do not assume that a loss of upstream service can be repaired by moving a satellite antenna. For mobile service, separate a missing network signal from a device that has signal but no usable data. Check your account or bundle through the provider’s established channel when you can.

Starlink: check eligibility before buying a kit

Lebanon’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority FAQ, last modified 23 September 2026, describes restricted eligibility. It says individual and residential subscriptions are not authorized, and visitors’ roaming use is not permitted. Eligible categories include specified business and institutional uses; this is not a general household backup offer.

The FAQ also says equipment must come through Starlink Lebanon or an appointed distributor, with approval requirements, and identifies Alfa as an official distributor. Read the TRA’s current Starlink FAQ before making arrangements. The page contains both testing-period and future-launch wording, so obtain current operational confirmation rather than treating its licence description as proof that an order can be activated today.

An overseas kit or roaming plan is not a workaround for these conditions. If you are an eligible organization, ask the official provider to confirm the account, intended location, equipment approvals and support route before committing funds. We do not arrange subscriptions or certify eligibility.

Check power without losing a working shared service

  1. Look for a local power interruption. Check whether the approved modem, router and any separate fibre terminal have power. A powered Wi-Fi router alone may leave another necessary device without power.

  2. Inspect only accessible connections. Stop if a supply, plug or battery is damaged, wet or overheating. Do not open a power supply or work on exposed wiring.

  3. Read status before restarting. Save the exact message and light labels. On a shared installation, ask its administrator before disconnecting anything or restarting equipment.

  4. Avoid a factory reset as a first step. It may remove settings needed to restore a managed connection. Use the exact model’s guide and the provider’s instructions.

For an authorized satellite installation, use our satellite internet first checks and exact-model Starlink guidance. These guides explain equipment behaviour; they do not grant permission to use a service.

Prepare for an interruption before it happens

Save essential contacts and equipment instructions offline. Agree when to check in with family or colleagues and what to do if a message does not arrive. Pause nonessential cloud backups, video and downloads when sharing a limited connection. Keep important documents available locally so a login or download is not required at the moment you need them.

If you plan battery backup, include every required device in the load. Confirm compatibility with the equipment manufacturer rather than buying an adapter solely because its plug fits. Keep charging equipment in its specified operating conditions. Do not leave a safe location or climb onto a roof to test reception.

Report a fault with useful details

For Ogero service, its official FAQ lists customer-care routes, including 1515 and online channels. Check the current contact options there; this page cannot confirm that a support line is reachable during a disruption. For another provider, use the contact route on your own account or official website.

Privately record your service type, model, exact error, time, power situation and devices affected. Share only what support needs. Do not publish passwords, account documents, terminal identifiers or the precise location of a shared installation. Find the official manual before making model-specific changes.

Sources and limits

This is an English-language technical resource, not a live outage report or emergency service. We have not tested an installation in Lebanon or confirmed service at your location. No purchase is needed to read it. Report a correction.
